Ready, set, go! - ICANN opens application window for new gTLD today
Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) finally opens the application period for its long-awaited new gTLD program.
Prospective new gTLD applicants have just less than three months from now on to submit their proposals to the organization for consideration.
Mark Your Calendars:
- 12 January 2012: Application period opens
- 29 March 2012: Last day to register for access to the TLD Application System (TAS)
- 12 April 2012: Application period closes
The Munich Conference in the Yes2DotAfrica campaign review of 2011
Today, the 2011 end of year message of the Yes2DotAfrica Campaign contained a detailed review of the 2011 incidents and events concerning ICANNs new gTLD program.
Sophia Bekele took a closer look on the Singapore approval of the new gTLD program in June, and other conferences where she and DCA took chances to promote their mission.
