ICANN has decided to implement both the Trademark Claims Service and the Sunrise Period for all new gTLDs as mandatory Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs). In the last proposed final Version of Applicant Guidebook (12 November 2010), new gTLD applicants had the choice between offering Trademarks Claims Services or Sunrise Services.
