The non-profit dotSaarland Association is located in St. Ingbert an was founded on October 6, 2009. It's services are aimed at residents and political representatives from the Saarland region as well as relevant economic and societal issues. The nine founding members include the State of Saarland, represented by the Ministry of the Economy and the VSE NET.

Mission

The ending .saarland should make the Internet attractive for all people that live in the Saarland region. The suffix will bring with it a sense of community and a degree of interaction among various social groups who will make use of the name.

The dotSaarland association brings together the interests of Saarland citizens, businesses and institutions to one top-level domain. Club members can be anyone who wishes to promote the Saarland name space on the Internet, whether it be a person, business or an institution.
