ICANN: TAS Reopening Date Still Uncertain

ICANN is still busy with fixing the TAS disaster and has not yet set a date for reopening it. By May 8, 2012 ICANN will have notified all applicants affected by the technical glitch. If TAS will reopen shortly afterwards is still unknown. Although ICANN is committed to announce the schedule for reopening TAS shortly after the notification process has been completed, this does not necessarily mean that reopening will occur soon. ICANN has refrained from being more specific. According to its recently published FAQ at least two conditions for reopening will have to be fulfilled:

Why is it taking so long to reopen the application system?

We are committed to reopening the system as soon as we can confirm that the problem has been resolved and testing has been completed. We also want to inform all applicants, before we reopen, whether they have been affected by the glitch.

ICANN ist still testing TAS so reopening may still take a while. This delay will also affect the Reveal Day which will most likely not be scheduled in May anymore.
